I used to play in a Bosnian/Romani band here in Sydney Australia and this was one of the songs we performed. I have always loved this song but as my knowledge of the Romani language is rather limited I am trying to find an English, Bosnian or Serbian translation. Can you help?

  2. Hi, Graham
We have no translation yet, but still trying to find it.
All we know it’s a song about songs and roads.

of this romas wants to sing
    sing all night long
on the road i searched the medicine
    i drank the wunderful song

eh romas tell from your travells
i searched the flowers by the streets
i want take poison to die
because the joy has left me, i am alone

the girl i was longing for
    dont wants my proposal
on the road i searcht a medicine
    i drank the wunderful song

eh romas tell from your travells
i searcht the flowers by the streets
i want take poison to die
because joy has left me, i am alone

I’ve been traveling a while and didn’t take the address of this site with me, but now I’m back, thank you chejbari for your translations (the English is pretty good) and thank you nedobalkan for hosting this site.

  10. I find this post interesting. However, I can’t understand what’s in their as I’m not particular with the language. Although, I tried to translate but still unlucky to have it translate. :)
